I enjoy the quiet moments that the whole world is just me and my book. I love how all books inspire me, change me, move me. When I was very young (<10 years old), my mom brought home more than 150 books from school library that they didn’t want anymore. I think that was how I picked up my reading habit. To many people reading could be a very boring thing to do, I have heard friends saying that they would never pick up a book for entertainment. But for me reading not just is to grow knowledge, it is also relaxing, like an escape to hustle and bustle. I have no problem choosing a book over a movie. I love reading non-fiction like self-help, biography, or sometimes it could be history. Sounds boring? 🙂
I love writing.
I started writing diary since 2002, and I am still writing now. Life is definitely worth recording! Initial intention to write diary was simply because I wanted to express own feelings without judgement from others. I can be completely frank and honest without worrying if my words would insult anyone. Well I like to share happy things with people but for those negative grumbles you don’t have to keep on whining to others right? I pour them all out in my diary. Now after so many years it has become more than just a secret keeper, it’s definitely my most loyal soul companion. I would spend time in between days to reflect my acts, my thoughts and write them down. Flipping old entries redefines who I am and what I want, knowing where I came from gives me directions of where to head to, it teaches me to appreciate life.
