It’s really hard to leave a place with a lot of very supportive managers, colleagues and friends. I still remember the day when HR called me 6 years ago for the job offer I was so overjoyed! My family and my friends were immensely proud too – this is not just any other company, this is Credit Suisse! This is a place with a lot of incredible and bright people, every one of you had taught me something if not a lot of things, thank you for all your help and support in the past. Such a privilege for me to work with all of you very talented people! Special thanks to my managers who gave me a lot of opportunities and guidance, thanks for believing in me before I did! I am forever grateful and shall pay them forward.
While leaving is hard, it’s even harder to convince others that I’m not insane to leave such a career with great prospect here (and did not wait for bonus next year). When I ask myself this question it really creates the urgency to not take this life for granted. Then it becomes a priority for me to live a life with as little regrets as possible and hopefully bring as many positive impacts to others as I can. There is no best timing to take risk. Now is the best time. I need to grow, learn, try different things and hopefully be useful as well at somewhere else.
